However, before implementing any of these above programs you need to be extra careful or do not get involve in too much of complication in your client. If in any case, they are getting more benefits, leave that the way it is, do not allow them to keep the record of discount given by you. As in some cases, such offers are get failed completely, because the owner normally provides the offer that suits him, not as per the clients requirement that makes it difficult to get back the older clients.
