A single wrong word to your boss from you can cause harm to your job or career. These some common topic that you should avoid discussing with your boss or manager:

1.     That is not my task:

Doing a protest about any particular task in front of manager can cause risk for your career. Because job accounts are not always inclusive, and many individual end up doing the task that doesn’t belong to his task description.

2.     Cannot do this or want to do that:

Never reject any project given to you by your boss and ask for something other, because it can create dispute between you and your manager.

3.     Cannot work with XYZ:

Refusal made by you to work with any particular colleague is a farthest statement and can give you a tag of a difficult person to work with in the office in front of your boss.

4.     Can you write this for me?

While discussing on any project, never ask your boos to provide you points in written instead of that you can write it on your own.

5.     What is a big deal in it?

This kind of statement shows a disrespect to somebody with whom you are talking. A statement like this to your boss can put an impression that you do not have any concern about thing that is bothering your boss.

6.     Just now I booked a plane tickets of next month:

Without consulting your boss, never tell him that, you have planned a break from your job for few days. As, your must have been planning any new important project for you or have already permitted leave to your some other colleague and needs you at that moment around the office. Always consult him before planning any unalterable plan for you to be in his or her good book of record.

7.      I wonder what you will do without me!

A statement like this in front of your boss can annoy your boss against you and can put you in prima donna slot that can force him or her to prove you wrong, which can also cost your job.

8.     So what if I did this?

When you do mistake, take up the responsibility to fix it after accepting your fault instead of saying that “ my bad”, because it becomes most frustrating for your boss to listen something like this form his employees after making any serious mistake.

9.     I have got another opportunity; can you come equal to that?

Avoid doing bargain with your boss on the basis of a new job opportunity because even if you in literal mean you don’t want to quit your job, they can ask you to go with that offer or even if they will accept your demand, you will always remain on the top list at the time of cutbacks.

10.    Do it, or I’ll quit:

Never try to give threat to your boss with this kind of statement, because with this type of conversation you will loss trust and respect from your boss to you and can bitter your relationship with your boss.
